Do Xuan Hai told the media on February 28.
The awards aim to honour outstanding works and individuals in seven categories, namely film, animation, documentary, TV series, short film, scientific film and cinematic commentary.
The award ceremony is scheduled to take place in Hanoi on March 15.
Prior to the ceremony, participating films will be screened for free at the National Cinema Centre, the August Cinema and Ngoc Khanh Cinema.-VNA
