km south of Thanh Hoa city.

The provincial People’s
Committee and the Vietnam Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam on
Jan. 8 announced a plan for the construction of the Thanh Hoa
Airport until 2020, with a vision to 2030.
Accordingly, in the first phase of between now and 2020, the airport
will operate flights from Thanh Hoa to Gia Lam, Cat Bi, Da Nang and
Tan Son Nhat airports with 250,000 passengers and 10,000 tonnes of
cargos a year.
Other domestic routes to Buon Ma Thuot,
Da Lat and Nha Trang as well as several international flights will be
opened after 2020, raising its capacity of transporting 1 million
passengers and 20,000 tonnes of cargos each year./.
