Over 76 mln USD for Central Highlands residents’ health care

The Prime Minister has adopted the second phase of a project on providing healthcare for people in the Central Highlands region with a total capital of 76.6 million USD, of which 70 million USD will be lent by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The Prime Minister has adopted the second phase of a project on providing healthcare for people in the Central Highlands region with a total capital of 76.6 million USD, of which 70 million USD will be lent by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

People in the five provinces of Lam Dong, Dak Nong, Dak Lak, Gia Lai and Kon Tum will benefit from the project, according to the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Online Newspaper.

The project aims to increase primary healthcare at the grassroots level, improve the quality of medical services at the communal level and enhance the provision of medical services at communities. It will also help people near the poverty line access medical insurance, improve the quality of and access to medical services at hospitals, and improve management over the medical sector at all levels.

The project will be carried out from 2014-2019.-VNA
