Pianists Peter Seivewright from England and Pham Hong Hanh from the US will perform a classical music concert at HCM City ’s Opera House on Sunday evening.

The pianists will perform Mozart’s Double Piano Concerto in E Major and Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto in B Minor, accompanied by the HCM City Ballet and Symphony Orchestra.


Seivewright and Hanh performed together in a concert in Vietnam for the first time in Hanoi last year.


Seivewright, born in 1954 in Skipton, England, studied music at Oxford and the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester . He has performed throughout Great Britain and in many countries including the US, Russia, Germany, Norway, Australia and China.


Hanh, born in Hanoi in 1970, studied piano at HCM City’s Conservatory of Music from 1980 to 1988. She won a scholarship to further her study at the world-renowned Gnhesin Academy of Music in Russia, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in 1955. She then studied at the prestigious McGill University in Montreal, Canada, obtaining the Master of Music in Solo Performance in 2001.


Since 2002 she has been living and teaching in California . She has performed in Russia, Canada and the US.
