The Vietnamese Embassy in Russia has raised a fund worth 42,000 USD to assist people affected by recent floods in Central Vietnam.

The sum was donated by Vietnamese agencies, businesses and organisations in Russia.

The embassy will soon remit the donation, excluding another 4,000 USD in transfer, to the homeland.

Meanwhile in The Hague, a representative of the Golden Heart Fund’s mobilising board of the Vietnamese community in the Netherlands has handed over a donation worth over 5,000 EUR to the Vietnamese Embassy in the Netherlands.

The sum will be sent to the Vietnam Fatherland Front to assist people in Central Vietnam to overcome storm Ketsana’s aftermaths, to the Vietnam Television’s Viet Heart Fund to help kids born with heart diseases and to the care and vocational training centre for Agent Orange/dioxin children in Thai Binh province./.
