The Vietnamese community abroad continue to take actions in support for the victims of typhoon Ketsana, which swept through central and Central Highlands regions in late September.

The Vietnamese Association in Belgium raised 1,400 EUR through a charity meal held on October 31. Earlier, the association already sent 1,000 EUR for the storm victims through the Vietnamese Embassy in Brussels.

In London, overseas Vietnamese in Woolwich district handed over a sum of 1,164 GBP to the Vietnamese Embassy in the UK and North Ireland in support for the storm-hit people.

Meanwhile, the Association of Hai Phong-born People in Toronto, Canada, raised over 4,000 CAD to help their compatriots in the homeland overcome the storm consequences.

Several overseas Vietnamese in Canada also donated 500 USD to the Vietnam News Agency’s Fund for AO Victims./.
