OVs in Thailand donate to COVID-19 vaccine fund

The Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand held a ceremony on July 11 to receive nearly 1.5 million baht (46,100 USD) donated by the Vietnamese community in the country to Vietnam’s national COVID-19 vaccine fund.

Bangkok (VNA) – The Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand held a ceremony onJuly 11 to receive nearly 1.5 million baht (46,100 USD) donated by theVietnamese community in the country to Vietnam’s national COVID-19 vaccine fund.

Of the total, 1.469 million baht was contributed bythe association of Vietnamese people in Thailand, and 10,000 bath bythe Vietnamese students’ association in Thailand.

Speaking at the ceremony,Ambassador Phan Chi Thanh expressed his thanks for the contributions byVietnamese people living in Thailand, although they have also been hit by thepandemic.

He affirmed that the funding will be sent to Vietnam as soon as possible.

On this occasion, the diplomat presented 8,000USD from the Vietnam COVID-19 prevention and control fund to Vietnamesepeople in Thailand hit hard by the pandemic./.

Hanoi waives public transport fares during Tet holiday

During the same period, the Hanoi Traffic Operation Centre, in coordination with bus operators, will also waive fares on subsidised bus services.
