Pacific Partnership & Pacific Angel programme wraps up in Quang Ngai

The Pacific Partnership & Pacific Angel Programme in 2024 (PP & PA-24) wrapped up its two-week mission to strengthen disaster response preparedness and international cooperation in the central province of Quang Ngai on August 30.

Quang Ngai (VNA) – The Pacific Partnership & Pacific Angel Programme in 2024 (PP & PA-24) wrapped up its two-week mission to strengthen disaster response preparedness and international cooperation in the central province of Quang Ngai on August 30.

The programme brought together approximately 200 participants, including personnel from navies and air forces, as well as experts from Australia, Chile, Japan, the UK, and the US. It focused on the four main activities of construction, health care, community exchange, and disaster relief.

Medical professionals conducted exchanges and training sessions at various hospitals and medical centres across Quang Ngai province, while engineers from the US Navy and Air Force helped the locality renovate schools, provided humanitarian support and disaster training, and participated in community exchange activities.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Vo Phien described the programme as an important and substantive event that helped enhance the cooperation, support and mutual support between Vietnam and the US, expressing his hope that the two sides will continue collaboration for peace and sustainable development./.
