Singapore (VNA) – The Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore, in collaboration with the ArtBlue Studio, opened a painting exhibition featuring the beauty of Vietnamese women on March 8, on the occasion of 109th International Women’s Day.

Head of ArtBlue Studio Phuong Nguyen said that on display are nearly 40 paintings by 10 artists.

Vietnamese Ambassador Tao Thi Thanh Huong stated that the exhibition is of significance as it is held on the occasion of the International Women’s Day.

Through this event, the embassy wants to introduce the achievements of Vietnamese women and promote the country’s artwork to international friends, she added.

Ambassador of the European Union to Singapore Barbara Plinkert said she was impressed with the exhibition as she felt she had a greater understanding of Vietnamese women through the paintings that depicted their daily lives.

At the event, visitors were also treated to Vietnamese traditional dishes. –VNA
