The festival, themed “Flying over the golden paddies,” has been held for the sixth time since 2013 and is one of the biggest paragliding events in Vietnam.

The festival, from Sept. 21-22, is expected to help Mu Cang Chai district popularise its stunning landscapes, gorgeous terraced fields, and friendly people to domestic and international friends.

Also within the framework of the Muong Lo Tourism-Culture Week, a festival featuring Tu Le’s ‘Com’ (young sticky rice flake) took place on September 22 in Tu Le commune, Van Chan district, Yen Bai province, attracting many locals and visitors.

The festival is hosted annually among Thai ethnic community in Tu Le commune ahead of harvest season to express their gratitude to almighty gods and ancestors for a bumper crop and prosperous life.

This year, participating teams from 9 villages in Tu Le commune compete in every stage in making young sticky rice flakes, drawing great pool of visitors.
