During its stay, the delegation held separate talks with communist,left and progressive parties of the two countries, including the SwissParty of Labour, the Communist Party of Switzerland, the Communist Partyof Austria, the Social Democratic Party of Austria, and the AustrianFederal Chamber of Labour.
Commission head Quanreaffirmed the policy of continuing to treasure and consolidate tieswith communist, labour and left parties, and being ready to establishand broaden those with other political parties in the two countries.
Those relations can serve as a political basis to strengthen thecooperation in various fields between Vietnam and those twocountries, especially in economics, trade and investment, he said.
Leaders of those parties described the visit as a great spiritualencouragement to the communists in the two countries to overcome thecurrent difficulties and challenges.
Many pledged tosupport the strengthening of the comprehensive relations andcooperation between those two countries and Vietnam, especially inthe fields of economics and trade, as they are in the ruling coalitions.
The two sides also discussed ways to raise the efficiency of cooperation at regional and international multilateral forums.-VNA
