Party delegation visits Myanmar

A delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), led by Deputy Head of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations Vuong Thua Phong, visited Myanmar from May 15-19.
A delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), led by Deputy Head of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations Vuong Thua Phong, visited Myanmar from May 15-19.

The visit was made at the invitation of Myanmar ’s Union Solidarity Development Party (USDP).

At meetings with USDP Secretary General Htay Oo and Foreign Minister Wunna Maung Lwin, Phong spoke highly of achievements Myanmar has made, especially the successful parliamentary election last November.

The Myanmar side affirmed its intention to further strengthen friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Vietnam .

Also discussed were measures to boost cooperation between the two Parties, increase relations between the two countries, enhance exchanges of delegations and strengthen bilateral investment and trade ties./.
