Phnom Penh (VNA) – A high-ranking delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee’s Inspection Commission, led by its head Tran Cam Tu, is paying a working visit to Cambodia from January 9-11.

On January 9, Tu, who is also Secretary of the CPV Central Committee, held talks with Ek Sam Ol, member of Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) Central Committee and head of its Inspection Commission.

Both sides informed each other of the situation of each Party and country. They also exchanged experience in Party building in general, and Party discipline, supervision, and inspection in more detail.

They spoke highly of the results of the implementation of cooperative agreements between the two Parties and countries over the years, and agreed to continue strengthening collaboration between the two Inspection Commissions with a focus on delegation exchanges.

In the context of complex, developing regional and international situations, they stressed the need to continue nurturing the Vietnam-Cambodia friendship for the interests of each country’s people.

The host affirmed that the CPP will do its utmost, together with Vietnam, to deepen the relations between the two Parties in all fields.

The guest, in turn, also confirmed that under any circumstances, Vietnam will work with Cambodia to consolidate the fine neighbourliness, time-honoured friendship, and comprehensive cooperation for the interests of the two peoples and for peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the world. –VNA
