17, beginning his official visit to Belgium and the European Union.

17, beginning his official visit to Belgium and the European Union.
The visit is made at the invitation of Belgian
Prime Minister Elio Di Rupo and President of the European Council Herman
Van Rompuy.
Upon arrival, Trong was greeted at the
airport by Secretary General of the Belgian Foreign Ministry Dirk
Achten; Vietnam ’s honorary consul at Anvers Baron Jo de Grand Ry;
the Ambassador of the Vatican and several ambassadors in the
diplomatic corp; and Vietnamese Ambassador to Belgium Pham Sanh Chau.
This is the first stop in the Party General
Secretary’s tour of Europe which will also take him to the UK and
Italy from January 17-24./.VNA
