Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong met with voters in Ba Dinh district, Hanoi , on Sept. 28 to hear their opinions and complaints ahead of the second session of the 13th National Assembly.
At the meeting, voters were presented with the agenda of the second session and received replies to complaints aired at the previous meeting.
The voters expressed their opinions and recommendations on compensation policy for site clearance, the interests of those whose land is repossessed, particularly job generation and living stability for these people, policies on price management, bank interest and education.
They also mentioned policies on the salary and livelihood of public servants and wage earners who face difficulties as prices of essential goods continue to increase.
General Secretary Trong acknowledged the opinions, agreeing on the need to improve meetings with voters in order to allow them to offer more opinions to the National Assembly, thus improving the quality of lawmaking and supreme supervision of the National Assembly.
Regarding education, the General Secretary affirmed the policy on comprehensive renewal and the improvement of education quality through specific mechanisms, guidelines for teachers and investment in facilities.
On the fight against corruption and wastefulness, he stressed the need to combine study and adherence to Ho Chi Minh’s moral example with daily work.
