Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has stressed the importance of maintaining and promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc in order to successfully implement strategic targets and tasks set by the 11 th National Party Congress.
The Party leader made the emphasis while joining the Day of Great National Unity in Cau village, Bac Son commune, Kim Boi district, the northern province of Hoa Binh, in November 13 on the occasion of the 81 st founding anniversary of the Vietnam National United Front (now the Vietnam Fatherland Front).
General Secretary Trong noted that over the periods of the glorious history of the Party and the nation, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has always been a key force in uniting and gathering all people to successfully implement revolutionary tasks under the leadership of the Party.
He highlighted the Day of Great National Unity, saying that it has become a jubilant and useful cultural activity of hundreds of thousands of residential quarters nationwide and Cau village, where 97 percent of population are Muong ethnic people.
Participants at the event reminisced about the 81-year tradition of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and reviewed the implementation of the “All people unite to build the cultural life in residential quarters” campaign.
Through the movement, the people have supported each other in production, helping reduce poverty and make life wealthier and happier./.
