Vietnam will do its utmost to lift ties with Laos to new heights for the sake of their peoples and for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world, said Vietnam ’s Party chief.
Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh delivered the statement during his reception for Politburo member and Vice President of Laos Bounnhang Volachit in Hanoi on March 30.
He expressed delight at positive developments in the Vietnam-Laos special ties and thanked the Party, State and people of Laos for the great assistance they have extended to Vietnam .
Volachit, who is also permanent member of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Central Committee’s Secretariat, informed his host of the outcomes of the implementation of the Lao Party’s recent resolutions and earlier talks and working sessions with Vietnam leaders.
The official said Laos will join hands with Vietnam to continue nurturing the friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between their Parties, States and people./.
