A passenger plane of Aviastar Mandiri airline with 10 persons on board went missing in South Sulawesi province of Indonesia on October 2, according to Indonesian Ministry of Transportation spokesperson Julius Barata.

The DHC-6 Twin Otter plane carrying seven passengers, including three children, and three crew members, lost contact about 30 minutes before the scheduled landing in Makassar, the provincial capital, he said.

A search and rescue team has been dispatched to search for the missing plane.-VNA
