Ho Chi Minh City’s leaders on National Day (Sept. 2) paid floral tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his Memorial House at Nha Rong Wharf, where he left on a vessel to seek ways of liberating the country.

The visitors included Le Thanh Hai, Politburo member and Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Le Hoang Quan, Party Central Committee member and Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee, Pham Phuong Thao, Chairperson of the Municipal People’s Council, and Duong Quan Ha, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s HCM City chapter.

They offered incense and expressed their gratitude to President Ho for immense services he rendered to the nation as the founder of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, which is the now Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

On Sept. 2 and the previous day, close to 50,000 people paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi./.
