Pepper export value on the rise

The nation’s first quarter export volumeof 18,000 tonnes equals to only two-thirds of the previouscorresponding period, added Director of the Ministry of Agriculture andRural Development’s Information Technology and Statistics Centre NguyenViet Chien.

Pepper export price now stands at 4,785 USD per tonne, a year-on-year rise of 53.8 percent.

TheVietnam Pepper Association (VPA) said the nation is expected to produce100,000 tonnes of pepper this year, a year-on-year rise of 5 percentas pepper yield began to restore from a prolonged drought in 2010.

VPAPresident Do Ha Nam said Vietnam’s pepper makes up 60 percent of theworld’s marketshare. With this position, he said, Vietnam can decide andgovern pepper price in the world’s market.

Vietnam exportedalmost 117,000 tonnes of pepper for 421 million USD last year, ayear-on-year rise of 20 percent, with the US, Germany and theNetherlands being Vietnam’s biggest pepper importers./.

Vietnam promotes finance for green agriculture

Data presented in the report reflects effective migration governance in recent years. The average recruitment cost paid by migrant workers dropped by 23.8%, from 164.9 million VND (6,400 USD) in 2021 to 125.7 million VND in 2025. Six groups of products, services proposed at Vietnam International Financial Centre

Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc said the products and services include investment funds and asset management, asset-backed digital assets, international carbon credits, commodity trading and derivatives infrastructure linked to trade and supply-chain financing, financial technology, and bonds issued at the centre. As these groups are at different stages of readiness, they will be rolled out in phases rather than simultaneously.
