A science contest for sixth to ninth grade children was launched on March 10 in Hanoi.
The fourth “Explore the world with PETRONAS” contest is jointly held by the Ministry of Education and Training, the Thieu Nien Tien Phong (Young Pioneer) Newspaper and the Malaysian national petroleum company Petronas.
It is intended to encourage the study of natural science by children, stimulate their creativity, create their reading habit, and help them work in a group.
The contestants have to compete in three rounds to win awards in kind such as electronic dictionaries, Ipod and labtops./.
