Kuala Lumpur (VNA) – The Philippine Government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) have signed a Declaration of Continuity of Partnership in the Bangsamoro Peace Process to ensure the full implementation of the peace agreement they signed in 2014.
The declaration was reached at their two-day special meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on May 30, according to Malaysia’s Bernama news agency.
The two parties also signed the Terms of Reference for the Establishment of the Bangsamoro Normalisation Trust Fund, a multi-donor trust fund envisioned in the Framework Agreement on the Bangsamoro Peace Process and the Annex on Normalisation.
They also inked the Terms of Reference for the Project Board of the Mindanao Trust Fund for the Six Previously Acknowledged MILF Camps.
In March 2014, with the facilitation of Malaysia, the Philippine Government and the MILF – the country's largest Muslim rebel group – signed a peace pact, which put an end to 45 years of conflicts.-VNA
