– The Philippine military has seized three of 10 suspects involving in the September 2 bombing in the southern city of Davao that killed 15 people and injured 70 others, according to Defence Secretary Delfin Lorenzana.

At a press briefing on October 7, the minister said the three suspects were arrested in the southern city of Cotabato on October 4 when they were driving a motorbike without a registered plate.

He said that the men directly participated in the bombing. One of them was allegedly the triggerman who made the phone call that detonated the improvised explosive device.

Another suspect reportedly planted the device inside a backpack bag, while the third took the video of the incident.

They are members of the Maute Group, a Muslim gang in the central province of Mindanao, the ancestral homeland of the Muslim minority in the Philippines.

Seven other suspects are being hunted.-VNA
