The Philippines and Myanmar have reached a deal on air services, allowing three flights per day, equivalent to up to 3,780 passengers per week, to be conducted between the countries by their designated airlines.
In addition, the two sides agreed on unlimited traffic rights between all points in the Philippines, except Manila, and between all points in Myanmar.
This year, the Philippines has already signed similar aviation agreements with New Zealand, Singapore and France.
The Southeast Asian country will discuss aviation services with Canada on May 27-28, and plans to hold negotiations with South Africa and Ethiopia as well.
These discussions are a part of the Philippines’ "open sky" policy. The country targets doubling the number of its international arrivals to 10 million by 2016.-VNA
