Hanoi (VNA) –
According to the preliminary results of the Philippines’ Commission on Elections on May 14, President Rodrigo Duterte’s allies are headed for a sweeping victory in the mid-term Senate elections.

The results, comprising of nearly 95 percent of votes, showed that candidates endorsed by President Duterte won 8 out of the 12 seats up for grabs in the 24-member Senate.

The EC is scheduled to officially announce winners in the next few days.
