The collection contains more than 10,000 photos of the red-headed cranes (also known as sarus crane) living at the Tram Chim National Park in Tam Nong District, southern Dong Thap province.

Loc spent 12 years tracking down the cranes. No other photographer has taken so many photos of those rare birds.

"As a photographer, I wanted to preserve their images so the younger generations could know that a herd of precious sarus cranes once lived in Vietnam ."
