Griffiths arrived in Vietnam in 1966 as a war reporter. He published two books on the Agent Orange and Vietnam in peace, helping the public better understand the post-war heavy aftermaths in the Southeast Asian country.

At the opening ceremony on Nov. 22, his widow Katherine Holden and representatives from the Philip Jones Griffiths foundation handed over all the photo collection to the museum.
