Photo exhibition shows highlights of Hanoi, Hue

The event is part of activities during the celebration of the 1,000 thanniversary of the capital city of Thang Long-Hanoi as well as to markthe traditional close relations between Hanoi , Hue and HCM City.

With 70 photos of Thang Long-Hanoi and 30 othersof Thua Thien-Hue province taken by generations of VNAphotojournalists, the exhibition covers a wide range of topics from thepast until the present, including images of Hanoi during the AugustRevolution in 1945, struggles against the French colonialists and the USimperialists, as well as the current cause of national construction.

The display also depicts the relations betweenleaders of the Party and State with the two localities, along witharchitectural works, relic sites and people’s daily lives, especiallyactivities in Hue festivals.

The exhibition will last until October 15./.

Intellectual cooperation deepens Vietnam–France relations: expert

Dr Frederic Roustan highlighted the importance of scientific and intellectual cooperation, saying that despite ups and downs in bilateral diplomatic, political and economic relations over the decades, connections between French and Vietnamese scientists and intellectuals have been maintained, contributing to exchanges between the two countries.

Ministry proposes seven-day 2027 Lunar New Year holiday

Under the Ministry of Home Affairs' proposal, civil servants and public employees in Vietnam would receive five statutory days off, including two days before and three days after the Lunar New Year. As two of those days fall on the weekend, they would receive two additional compensatory days off, bringing the total holiday to seven consecutive days.
