Colour snapshot “A dance to celebrate Cham Cultural Day” (Mua nuoc mung ngay van hoa Cham) earned artist Vo Trung Kien from An Giang province the first prize.
Duong Van Nhi from Bac Lieu province bagged a gold for his black-and-white photo entitled “Competition” (Tranh tai).
This year’s event marked a surge of number of female artists whose works were chosen for display accounting for nearly 10% of the best participating artists.
167 out of 2,419 colour and black-and-white entries by 385 artists from 13 cities and provinces in the area were selected for display between September 4 and 10.
The festival, the twenty-eighth of its kind, is co-hosted by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and the Literature and Art Association.
