A photo exhibition on the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and its development over the past 85 years kicked off in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on January 21.

The exhibition is as part of activities to celebrate the CPV’s 85th founding anniversary (February 3).

On display are around 100 photographs featuring the founding process of the Party, and its achievements during national construction and development.

In addition, the exhibition also showcases 160 objects and photos on traditional Tet practices of Kinh, Hoa and Khmer ethnic groups living in the Mekong Delta.

Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Le Van Tam said that the event aims to raise public awareness of the Party’s founding and development history, educating the young generation about patriotism and national pride.

It also presents the cultural diversity of locals when welcoming the lunar New Year festival.

The exhibition will be open to the public until the end of April.-VNA
