A pilot was killed and 10 passengers wounded in a plane accident on Ko Samui island, in southern Thailand, on Aug. 4.

The privately-owned Bangkok Airways aircraft carrying more than 70 people on board skidded off the runway as it landed at Samui Airport , then hit the control tower and caught fire, a related agency said.

According to the initial investigation, the accident was attributed to heavy rain and strong wind which hindered the pilot’s vision.

All survivors on board were evacuated safely./.
