Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung requested out-all efforts to successfully host all-level Party Congresses during the Government’s monthly meeting in Hanoi on June 29.

Party Committees and local authorities should stay united and determined to achieve the 2015 socio-economic development goals, he said.

In his six-month socio-economic report, Minister of Planning and Investment Bui Quang Vinh said the Vietnamese economy was recovering in the first half of 2015.

He mentioned the Enterprise Law that will take effect on July 1, saying many of its new points will protect investors and put them on the advantage.

The promulgation of the new legislation is part of efforts to realise a resolution that focuses on improving the business climate and national competitiveness.

During the following discussion, PM Nguyen Tan Dung said considering recently improved performance indexes, the 6.2-percent growth target is completely feasible.

He asked for the adoption of technological advances in public e-services and continuing administrative reform and said in order to maintain the growth momentum, ministries, sectors and localities must assume their responsibilities to the fullest.

The leader told officials to scrutinise and clarify existing problems and shortcomings, thereby devising efficient solutions as well as pushing the execution of the resolution forward.

Without national competitiveness amidst a global integration landscape, fast and sustainable development is nearly unachievable, he stated, adding that the priority task is to sustain macro-economic stability by closely monitoring capital and real estate markets.

Relevant units were also asked to keep close track of negotiations for economic and trade deals that afford new opportunities to enterprises and the public.
