PM approves plan on joint rescue at sea with Philippines

The Prime Minister has signed a decision approving a plan on the implementation of a cooperative agreement between the governments of Vietnam and the Philippines on search, rescue and coping with oil spills.
The Prime Minister has signed a decision approving a plan on theimplementation of a cooperative agreement between the governments ofVietnam and the Philippines on search, rescue and coping with oilspills.

The plan required the finalization of legal procedures related to the implementation of the agreement.

Additionally, Vietnamese agencies in charge of search and rescueactivities should set up their direct link with the Filipino sides. Thetwo sides will also define specific boundary, areas and duties forsearch and rescue activities.

Regarding coping with oil spill,the plan requires the building and completing of a management system onmarine resources and environment, human resource training, research anddevelopment, assessment of risks to prevent and coping with oil spillsat Vietnam’s sea area as well as working together with the Philippinesto cope with oil spills in the waters of the two countries./.

Based on the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between Vietnam’s National Assembly and Thailand’s House of Representatives, signed in 2023, Vietnam and Thailand agreed to continue exchanges of delegations at all levels, expand interactions between parliamentary friendship groups, especially the Vietnam–Thailand Parliamentary Friendship Group, as well as among women and young parliamentarians, while maintaining close coordination at multilateral forums.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Israel recommended that Vietnamese nationals regularly follow alerts and instructions issued by the Israeli Home Front Command; install and use the official Home Front Command warning application; and immediately move to a safe room or shelter when air raid sirens sound.
