Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung paid Tet visit to the southern city of Can Tho on Feb. 16, the third day of the Lunar New Year.
Meeting with local authorities, PM Dung commended Can Tho for the achievements it made in 2009 and acknowledged the municipal administration’s efforts to take care of social policy beneficiaries during the Tet holiday.
He also asked the provincial authorities to strengthen their leadership to maintain political stability, security and social order in the locality.
After the holiday, the administration should encourage all sectors and local people to accelerate production for further development of the city, PM Dung said./.
