Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc spoke highly the outcomes of anti-crime cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Interior Ministry of Mozambique when receiving Minister Basilio Monteiro in Hanoi on November 22.

“Cooperation in security will provide an important foundation and a favourable condition for the two countries to facilitate investment and economic partnership,” he said.

PM Phuc noted that the two countries have enjoyed sound traditional relations and Vietnam wishes to boost the ties across sectors.

He lauded the cooperation between Mozambique’s Interior Ministry and the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security in personnel training and cooperation in preventing and combating hi-tech and drug crimes and wildlife traffickers.

He said the cooperative fields are practical and suggested both sides to work out solutions to execute agreements reached in the fields efficiently in the coming time.

The guest said his ministry officials exchanged valuable experience in safeguarding security and fighting crimes with officials from the Ministry of Public Security.

The ministries agreed to cooperate in judicial assistance in criminal cases, combat crimes, share experience in protecting national security protection, and tackle traffic violations, among others, he said.
