Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has hailed coordination between the Government and the Vietnam Fatherland Front in 2010, saying it contributed to strengthening and expanding the great national unity bloc and created a consensus among the society.

Speaking at an annual working session to review the implementation of the cooperative mechanism between the Government and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee in 2010 and specify key tasks for 2011 in Hanoi on Jan. 8, PM Dung stressed the country’s efforts to obtain achievements in socio-economic development, political security, social safety and order in 2010, raising Vietnam’s position and prestige in the world, despite of difficulties and challenges.

He attributed the achievements to the leadership of the Party and State, the people’s consensus and close cooperation among State agencies, especially the coordination between the Government and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee.

The cooperation has helped both sides to fulfill their tasks, meeting the people’s aspiration, said President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Huynh Dam and participants.

The Fatherland Front responded to all activities of the Government and encouraged people from all walks of life to participate in, they added.

In 2011, the Government and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee will increase their cooperation to implement measures and expand and strengthen the great national unity bloc, contributing to socio-economic development and ensuring national defence, security, and social safety and order./.
