PM highlights Vietnamese ties with France, Poland

Receiving French Ambassador Jeans Francois Girault, PM Dung highly praised cooperation projects between the two countries. He stressed that the Vietnamese Government attaches importance to French help in building the university of science and technology in Vietnam , describing it as emblematic of their strong relations.

He added that projects capitalized through French official development assistance (ODA) are being implementing effectively. He expressed the hope that the French Government would increase ODA to Vietnam , especially to help solve environmental problems, cope with climate change and invest in education and training.

He went on to say that Vietnam and France had a traditional and long-standing friendship and that French culture has had a special influence on Vietnamese life. He said that the two governments should exert more efforts to further boost bilateral cooperation.

The French Ambassador informed the host that the French Government is always interested in building on it’s friendly working relationship with Vietnam and is pursuing many activities to accelerate cooperation programmes.

Meeting with Polish Ambassador Pavel Wojciechwski, PM Dung expressed his pleasure at the fine development of the two countries’ relations and expressed his hope that the up-coming visit to Vietnam by the Polish Prime Minister would open up numerous mutual beneficial opportunities for both countries.

The Polish Ambassador praised Vietnam ’s remarkable achievements in every field, especially in overcoming the global economic crisis./.
