Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on February 7 attended the inaugural of Tac Cau bypass in Chau Thanh district, the Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang.
The PM praised efforts by the Transport Ministry as well as construction and supervision units to ensure safety and complete the project ahead of schedule.
The 6.52km long road includes two major bridges, namely Cai Lon and Cai Be.
It is part of the Minh Luong – Thu Bay road under the Southern Coastal Corridor project, connecting Vietnam with Thailand and Cambodia.
With a total investment of 60 million USD, the 22.8km Minh Luong – Thu Bay road plays an important role in the transport system of the Mekong Delta.-VNA
