Challenges to development are offering new opportunities and great potentials to as well as requiring new responsibilities from young leaders and growth companies, said Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.

PM Dung made the statement at a meeting with the WEF’s Community of Young Global Leaders (YGL) and Community of Global Growth Companies (GGC) on June 6 on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) on East Asia in HCM City .

The world has made progresses on its development path, said PM Dung, adding that it is a result of human being’s unceasingly efforts for a better world of peace, stability, cooperation and development.

However, he noted, the world is still facing many challenges, citing that tensions, conflicts and instability are threatening many areas while climate change, energy security, food and finance that have not got effective solutions and poverty, diseases and illiteracy continue weighing down on developing nations.

He said he believed that the young generation will well fulfil their responsibilities, noting that their successes have been honoured at the WEF.

The PM called on young leaders and growth companies to bring into play their creativeness and courageousness to bring newer and more effective approaches to global issues and to share experiences, information and strategic vision to authorities at all levels.

He also noted that the Vietnamese young business people and youths have been facilitated to bring into play their creativeness and capabilities to building the country into a prosperous and developing nation.
