Hanoi (VNA)Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received Belarusian Minister of Emergencies Vadim Sinyavsky in Hanoi on April 19.

At the meeting, the Government leader affirmed that Vietnam always attaches great importance to developing its traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Belarus and welcomes positive progress in the bilateral collaboration, especially in politics, diplomacy, economy and trade.

Thanking Belarus for supporting Vietnam in its past struggle for national independence, PM Chinh lauded the two nations’ mutual assistance via offering each another medical equipment and supplies serving COVID-19 prevention and control, considering it a nice symbol of the traditional friendship shared between their people.

He recommended the two sides to further step up cooperation in trade-economy, encourage enterprises to expand business and investment in each other's country, and promote cooperative ties in national defence and security, particularly in fire prevention and fighting, and response to emergencies.

On this occasion, PM Chinh proposed Belarus pay attention to and create favourable conditions for the Vietnamese expatriate community living and working in the country.

For his part, Sinyavsky, who is on a working visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Minister of Public Security Gen. To Lam, said that Belarus always treasures its traditional friendship and cooperation with Vietnam.

Agreeing with PM Chinh’s suggestions, he said the Belarusian Government will make efforts to promote the friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two nations as well as the collaboration between the Belarusian Ministry of Emergencies and the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security./.
