Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has spoken highly of New Zealand Ambassador to Vietnam Jammer Kember’s contributions to boosting cooperation between the two countries.

Receiving the outgoing ambassador on Aug. 20, PM Dung expressed his satisfaction at the fine development of Vietnam-New Zealand ties.

In 2008, the value of two-way trade surpassed 300 million USD. The two countries have signed agreements relating to trade and economic cooperation, the protection and encouragement of investment, as well as aviation.

PM Dung suggested the two countries work together at all levels in order to match their potential and strengths.

He also said he hoped that New Zealand will continue to provide ODA for Vietnam for construction of infrastructure and offer more scholarships to Vietnamese students to study in New Zealand .

The Vietnamese PM wished the New Zealand diplomat good luck in his future post, and asked him to keep on bolstering bilateral ties.

Ambassador Jammer Kember affirmed that he would make positive contributions to furthering relations between Vietnam-New Zealand./.
