Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on October 7 received visiting Russian medical scientists who have participated in the maintenance of President Ho Chi Minh’s body.

The Government leader stated that 2009 is the year that the Vietnamese Party and people celebrate the 40th anniversary of the implementation of Uncle Ho’s testament, including the assessment of the long-term preservation of his body according to the entire nation’s aspiration.

He thanked the former Soviet Union and now Russia for their assistance to Vietnam in preserving the late President’s body and building his mausoleum, and especially for promptly sending medical scientists and experts to Vietnam to participate in the undertaking.

PM Dung expressed his wish that with the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two countries, the Russian State and scientists will give continued support to Vietnam in science and technology research and official training.

The Russian guests highly praised Vietnam ’s initial successes in stabilising the economy, maintaining a high economic growth rate and ensuring social security. They affirmed that they will stand side by side with the Vietnamese colleagues in maintaining the body of President Ho Chi Minh./.
