Ulan Bator (VNA) – The PMs of Vietnam and Slovenia have affirmed that they attached much importance to developing the bilateral friendship and cooperation, which have seen positive growth in recent years.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Slovenian counterpart Miro Cerar met on the margins of the 11th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Summit in Ulan Bator on July 16.

PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc said Vietnam’s subcommittee in the two countries’ inter-governmental joint committee on economic cooperation is taking shape and suggested the organisation of the first session of the committee in the second half of 2016.

He called on Slovenia to consider the provision of official development assistance (ODA) for several projects on environment and public health in Vietnam and support the country to gain access to the post-2017 preferential capital.

The PMs agreed to sign agreements in various fields soon to enhance the bilateral multi-faceted cooperation.

PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc promised to visit Slovenia in the future at the invitation of his Slovenian counterpart.

Later on the day, he left Ulan Bator for Hanoi, successfully wrapping up his official tour of Mongolia from July 13-16.-VNA
