Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has stated that Vietnam will do its best to deepen energy cooperation with Russia as it is one of the key pillars in the two countries’ strategic partnership.
Receiving Chief Executive Officer of Russia’s Gazprom Alexey Miller in Hanoi on October 5, PM Dung affirmed his Government’s support of the cooperation between Gazprom and the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, adding that he hopes they will step up the pace of oil and gas survey and exploration projects.
He suggested Gazprom assist the Vietnamese oil and gas firms’ activities in Russia.
Miller, on his part, said his group is keen to expand its operations in Vietnam.
Gazprom always backs the Vietnamese oil and gas enterprises in Russia as well as promote bilateral links in the supply of liquefied petroleum gas, crude oil and personnel training, he noted.-VNA
