More volumes of Ho Chi Minh complete works translated into Lao

Vientiane (VNA) –
The Lao translationsof the second, fourth, and sixth volumes of the Complete Works of Ho Chi Minhwere introduced at a ceremony in Vientiane on July 24.

Attending the launching ceremony were Vo VanThuong (Politburo member, Secretary of the CPV Central Committee, and head ofthe CPV Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education), KikeoKhaykhamphithoune (Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party CentralCommittee, and head of the LPRP Central Committee’s Commission for Propagandaand Training), among others.

The Complete Works of Ho Chi Minh feature thejourney of late President Ho Chi Minh to save the country and lead theVietnamese revolution from victory to victory.

The translation project was jointly carried outby the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and the Lao National Academy ofPolitics and Public Administration as part of the 2014 cooperation agreement oneconomy, culture, and science and technology between the Vietnamese and Laogovernments. 

The second volume of the book highlightsPresident Ho Chi Minh’s revolutionary activities in China during 1924-1929,before the foundation of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV).

The fourth reflects the President’s notableactivities when encountering difficulties in economic, military, political, andsocial matters after the August Revolution.

The sixth features the President’s revolutionaryguidelines and strategies in the 1949-1950 period to promote the cause ofnational construction.

Associate Prof. Dr. Nguyen Viet Thao, DeputyDirector of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, said the experiencegained from the bilateral cooperation will be an important foundation for thetwo sides to soon complete the remaining translations of the complete works.

The first volume of the Complete Works of HoChi Minh was completed in September 2017.-VNA
