The Central Power Corporation under the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) inaugurated a power station on July 20 in the central province of Quang Tri.
Built at a cost of 130 billion VND, the 110kV station in Dak Rong district has a generation capacity of 25MAV.
It is expected to provide electricity to eight communes along the Ho Chi Minh Highway and two border districts of Laos’ Salavan province through the La Lay international border gate in Quang Tri province.
Pham Sy Hung, Director of EVN Quang Tri, said the station’s operation will contribute significantly to the promotion of socio-economic development in the province.-VNA
