President Truong Tan Sang has expressed his appreciation to the Hungarian Socialist Party (MSZP) for their ongoing support to the development of Vietnam-Hungary relations.

During a meeting with MSZP President Mestehazy Atila on September 17 during his visit to Hungary, President Sang spoke highly of the growing relationship between MSZP and the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV).

He requested that the MSZP continue to assist the Vietnamese Embassy and the Vietnamese community in the country.

Remembering the support of Hungarian officials and experts, including many MSZP members, who took part in the International Commission of Control and Supervision under the Paris Peace Agreement, President Sang declared that Vietnamese people will always remember the precious help offered by Hungarian friends.

Atila said his party wishes to contribute further to fostering Vietnam-Hungary ties in order to achieve the common aspirations of both peoples.

He applauded the agreements reached between leaders of the two countries during President Sang’s visit.

He also hailed the rising role of Vietnam in Southeast Asia, and pledged to create all possible conditions for the Vietnamese Embassy and community in Hungary.-VNA
