President Truong Tan Sang on December 7 applauded the positive outcomes that judicial reforms have brought to the country’s social and political life.

At a working session reporting on the continued implementation of legal restructuring up to 2020, President Sang who is the Head of the Central Steering Committee on Judicial Reform hailed the sector’s efforts in the work so far.

He stressed that the process aims to cement a socialist law-governed state and create a justice system which is unblemished, strong and fair.

At the event, delegates evaluated the progress in bringing a politburo resolution on strategy for judicial reform until 2020 to life and analysed the work that is still required.

In particular, they proposed a number of amendments to the activities of the People’s Courts and People’s Procuracies in line with 11 th National Party Congress’s documents and the recently-revised 1992 Constitution.-VNA
