President Sang said that Vietnam will help Laos to successfully organise the 7 th Asia Europe Parliamentary Partnership Meeting (ASEP 7) which will be held in Vientiane from October 3-4 and the 9 th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM 9) which will also convene in Laos this year.
He said he hopes that with both countries jointly organising the activities to mark Vietnam-Laos Solidarity and Friendship Year 2012, the event will become a historical landmark in the two countries’ relationship.
Lao NA Chairwoman Pany Yathotou said that the results of the conference on Vietnam-Laos National Assembly Relations will enhance all-round cooperation between the two countries.
She praised Vietnamese’s socio-economic achievements which, she said, is valuable experience for Laos .
She thanked the Vietnamese Party, State and people for their assistance to the Lao Party, State and people in national construction and defence and wished for further development of the two countries’ special traditional friendship.-VNA
