President seeks elevated ties with Spain

President Triet stated this during his meeting in Hanoi on Nov. 19 with Spanish Princess Cristina Federica, who is here for a partners’ meeting for the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisation (GAVI).
President Triet said Vietnam highly esteems the role and position Spain has held in the EU and the international arena.
He expressed delight at the developments in cooperation between the two countries, and described the Princess’s working visit to Vietnam as enhancing the closeness of Vietnam-Spain relations.
Princess Cristina Federica said she admired Vietnam’s achievements in socio-economic development as well as its efforts to improve the people’s living conditions.
She emphasised that the Spanish people give their heart to Vietnam and that the Royal family and the Spanish Government are looking forward to President Triet’s visit./.
